On the brink of madness, Joey learns she is pregnant after several suicide attempts. Haunted by visions of the dead, she desperately seeks a way to end them so she can be a good mother. She finds her secretive ex-lover Sam, who may be able to shed some light into why this frightening twilight world is descending upon Joey.
