After her scientist mother falls into a coma, high school student Akira Yoshiyama decides to use her mother's time travel research to journey back to the 1970s to save her life. Once there, Akira searches for her mother's first true love to bring him back to the present, where she hopes his presence will pull Kazuko out of her coma.
