A Japanese widower expresses his sadness and loneliness to a fellow film producer. Inspired, his friend organizes a fake casting for a non-existent film so that he can select a new potential bride from the actresses who audition. The widower becomes enamored with a beautiful young woman, but first impressions can be very deceiving.
