In this prequel of Infernal Affairs, Chan Wing Yan has been expelled from Hong Kong Police College because he has relatives who are involved with the Triad. Police Superintendent Wong gives him a chance to prove his loyalty by asking him to go undercover in the Triad crime family controlled by his half brother.
