Kanichiro Yoshimura is a samurai and family man who can no longer support his wife and children on the meager stipend he receives from his small clan, so he leaves for the city and joins a notorious clan, the Shinsengumi. He proves his prowess as a swordsman and inspires those around him with his loyalty and sense of honor.
